About

Started running in 2003 to lose weight, but stayed running for the personal accomplishment and supportive community. I am JEDI Runner Photography - maybe I’ve taken your race photo! I met my handsome, speedy spouse through CRC (Run Club works 😉!) I’m a word puzzle fanatic, politico, meme connoisseur, reader, thinker and cat mom x3.

Fun factI am a observer of the soap opera "The Young & The Restless", the other day, for the first time in 20 years, I got to view an episode and now I am all caught up.
About

My first running event, also a tour race, was the original Shandon Turkey Trot in November 1997. I did no prior training, did not have proper running shoes and socks, but during and afterwards I felt the"burn" and came back for more. Over the years I have completed hundreds of races, went on to write for a decade the non-legendary "From the Road" column that ran in the newsletter and over the past two decades been the CRC Tour Director. It has been truly a labor of love.

About

In 2018 I lost almost 200 pounds. I started running in 2019 to get in shape after losing the weight, and since then I've run more 5Ks than I can count, a good number of 10Ks and half marathons, and two full marathons. Along the way I've found lifetime friends and family in the running community.

About

I’m a librarian who loves reading cheesy romance books more than I’d like to admit, and running keeps me more sane than I’d like to admit. I have a beagle, Blu, who I inherited from my dad when he was 12 weeks old. I also have three cats. I've run too many 5k's and 10k's, two half marathons, and one full marathon. My favorite distance is either a 10k or a half. I haven't decided yet.

About

My first race was the Kiawah Half Marathon in 2005. I signed up after having FOMO when friends registered. I showed up fully prepared with a Walkman, a fleece vest (on the coldest day ever recorded in Kiawah that year), a cotton T-shirt, sweatpants, and not sure if I ran more than 8 miles during my "couch-to-half-marathon" training. The following year, I joined Strictly Running training group and Columbia Running Club where I found "my people.” I love all things community, and racing has become one of my favorite ways to give back and support local organizations that provide so many valuable services.

I previously served as President of CRC from 2006 – 2012 and now that I've retired from my IT career, I'm happy to be back on the CRC board. The club has come a long
way in the 20 years since I first got involved, and it's great to see so much happening. I have 3 grandchildren and enjoy spending time with them. I ran the Kid's Main Street Mile with one and hope to run more races with them in the future.

About

Obsessed with road racing since winning my first age group trophy at March for Meals in 2009. When I’m not running in costume, taking racing pictures, being an IPA beer snob and dominating others in NY times word puzzles, I occasionally practice psychiatry.
